Permanent Part-Time
22.5 hours per week
Must be a graduate of a recognized Therapist Assistant Diploma program or have two (2) years or two thousand hours experience and practice working with children under the supervision of a certified Occupational or Physiotherapist or related professional. Strong computer skills are essential. Must have a current criminal record check, negative tuberculin test results, first aid and CPR, valid class 5 drivers’ license and access to reliable transportation.
The Therapy Assistant provides support to the Occupational and Physiotherapy teams including direct and indirect treatment activities and non-client specific activities as assigned and supervised by an Occupational and Physiotherapist in accordance with the guidelines established by Health and Care Professionals of BC. Other duties include: creation and maintenance of program materials, contributing to the intake process for the early intervention team, support with scheduling OT and PT appointments and other program-specific administrative tasks, and other related duties as assigned by the OT/PT supervisor.
