The Scheduling Administrator is responsible for supporting Program Supervisors in the filling of staff vacation coverage or extended absences throughout the calendar year based on established guidelines.
•Using scheduling software, schedules casual staff to fill shift vacancies
•Based on the collective agreement, contacts relevant staff to fill temporary staffing shortages
•Maintains regular contact with casual staff, ensuring availability and contact details are kept up to date
•Inputs data into scheduling software and following established procedures
•Receives shift cancellations from supervisors and backfills gaps
•Performs data entry and word processing functions
•Assists with scheduling software updates
•Uses professional communication when sending emails or text messages
•Answers the phone and inquiries relating to employee scheduling
•Compiles and distributes weekly call-out list
One year of post-secondary in Office Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent. Minimum three years of work experience in an administrative role. Intermediate computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite required. Consent to criminal record check and negative TB test results.
