Thursday 8:30am-4:00pm
Friday from 8:30am -3:30pm
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, counselling, youth and childcare
or related field. Minimum 3 years work experience in inclusive childcare and the community
social services sector with a demonstrated working knowledge of family centred service,
early intervention, child development, family support and community-based services.
Current Criminal Record Checks, negative TB test results, First Aid and Class 5 Driver’s
License.
Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills. Effective teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and to manage time and workload effectively. Ability to
maintain confidentiality. Ability to maintain a positive, professional, non-judgmental
attitude. Knowledge of community childcare resources and other community support
services. Intermediate computer competencies. Skill in administering a range of formal and
informal developmental assessment tools. Knowledge and skills in adult training. Ability to
reflect on and improve professional practice. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the
position.
