Nature of Position

Permanent Part-Time
21.23 average hours per week
Night shifts 11pm – 7am
Rotating 3 nights working and 5 days off

Rate of Pay

As per Collective Agreement – Grid Level 10

Requirements

Current First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check,
and Food Safe Certification. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is also required.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Human Services Worker Certification or equivalent. Three to six months prior job
experience, working with people with developmental disabilities. Must display a
proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging behaviour. Must be
able to meet all physical demands of the job, including staying awake during the
shift. Ability to problem solve with individuals as assist in determining their needs
and wants. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations while ensuring everyone is
treated with respect and dignity. Knowledge of behavioural interventions.
