Nature of Position

Permanent Part Time
Female applicants only – BFOR
28.08 hours per week.
Night shifts 11pm – 7am
Rotating 4 on 4 off

Rate of Pay

As per Collective Agreement – Grid Level 10

Hoover Staffed Living Home

Requirements

Current First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check, and Food Safe Certification. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is also required.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field. Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities. Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset. Must display a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging and aggressive behaviour. Must display an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental disability and mental illness. Must display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
