32.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:00pm
Class 4 Drivers license is required. Post-secondary diploma in Human Services, Social Services, or equivalent. Three-to-six-month prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities Current First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check, Food Safe Certification, and CPI training. Applicants must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including pushing a wheelchair and participating in a variety of activities.
Participates and assists individuals with their day-to-day life skills; including social, vocational, leisure, health, and fitness (including swimming). Administers medication and monitors health of individuals. Ensures safety of self and individuals when lifting, transferring and loading wheelchairs on and off the vans. Supports personal care requirements of individuals, as set out in care plan. Performs administrative duties in line with society policies and procedures.
