Current first aid and CPR, FoodSafe, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check as per Association policy, valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
Human Services certificate, recreation course or equivalent. Minimum six months’ experience working with youth with developmental disabilities. Basic computer skills.
Community Access Services is designed to cater to the leisure and recreational needs of children and youth, twelve to eighteen years of age. Activities are selected to help teach life skills and social competency in a relaxed and enjoyable setting after school, three hours a week. The Activity Worker works as part of a team and plans, organizes, implements, and leads community-based recreational and social activities to meet the needs of youth in the program.
