Nature of Position

Rivercity Inclusion is looking for temporary full time Vocational Worker to assist people with developmental disabilities to be successful within employment settings within Rivercity Inclusion. The role provides vocational skills training and supports clients in maintaining Rivercity Inclusion employment opportunities. The Vocational Worker also schedules work and participates in production in order to meet service expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains all participant files to include all information as directed by program supervisor
  • Liaisons with caregivers, workers and families
  • Ensures supplies are available for clients to effectively perform their job
  • Supervises clients in performing vocational training tasks.
  • Coordinates clients’ involvement in work production
  • Performs safety checks and ensures participants are not placed in an unsafe work situation.
  • Completes random on-line inspections and final check of product before delivery to ensure quality is maintained.
  • Organizes work orders and ensures they are met; ensures customer specifications are met.
  • Completes all aspects of retail sales, including but not limited to, delivery of product to customers.
  • Responsible for the development, test marketing and designing of new products.
  • Performs inventory of supplies and monthly inventory of raw materials, work in progress and finished product.
  • Reviews and evaluates job situations and reports clients’ needs, progress and work performance to the supervisor.
  • Responsible to ensure all personal safety equipment is used appropriately for all clients
  • Meets with new customers to explain the program and services offered
  • Maintains detailed and usable operating procedures

Rate of Pay

$25.95 per hour
