Requirements

Must be an early Childhood Educator with current BC License. Three years’ experience working in an inclusive childcare setting. Preference may be given to an Early Childhood Education Special Educator with current BC License. Consideration will be given to applicants with ECE-A (assistant) certification. Current Criminal Record Checks, TB test results, First Aid and CPR required as per Association policy.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team. Strong oral communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to provide a calm, healthy, responsive relationship with the child and to establish and maintain supportive, collaborative relationships with families and childcare setting staff. Able to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain a positive, professional, non-judgmental attitude. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet physical demands of the job.
