Requirements

Valid Class IV Driver’s License required, current First Aid and CPR, current TB test results, must have a current Criminal Record Check as per Association policy. Food Safe Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are also required. Must be willing to swim on a regular basis. Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field. Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Performs the tasks of health care plans, specifically seizure care plans, prn medications. Utilizes assistive equipment as prescribed by rehabilitation therapists such as overhead lifts, custom wheelchair, and positioning devices. Must display an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental disability and complex care needs. Must display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all the physical demands of the job.
