Nature of Position

Rivercity Inclusion is looking for a Program Director to lead a variety of programs committed to fostering individual development for both children and adults. In support of individuals who may have a developmental delay, the role will ensure integrated and high quality services for the communities and clients our programs serve.

As a people-first leader, the Program Director will uphold our family-centered philosophy by fostering a positive relationship with staff members and encouraging collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have experience with MCFD funded programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with program Supervisors to address potential program threats and opportunities.
  • Sustaining, developing, and enhancing relationships with external partners (as relevant to the programs within portfolio) such as CLBC, VIHA, MCFD, BC Housing etc.
  • Assists in Human Resources activities such as interviewing, hiring, corrective action, development plans and training of Supervisors and staff within portfolio.
  • Oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of ongoing programming including planning, organizing, and staffing in collaboration with program Supervisors.
  • Participates as a member of the organization’s senior management team in developing long range and strategic plans, assessing and resolving operational issues and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant B.Ed/B.A./BSW degree or higher or equivalent combination of direct experience and education.
  • A minimum of five years’ previous management and administrative work experience within the social services and/or not for profit sector.
  • Strong program delivery experience with clients with developmental disabilities or housing sector.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of specific community-based program and related provincial and community support systems, applicable legislation, and policies, CLBC, VIHA, MCFD, BC Housing* funded programs, and experience with CARF accreditation. (*one or a combination of)
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of specific community-based program and related provincial and community support systems, applicable legislation, and policies.
