Nature of Position

Rivercity Inclusion Society is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to advocate and provide services for people with specials needs, and their families, who live in the Campbell River area. Our Dogwood Place Child & Youth Development Centre offers a family-centered approach to children and youth who have, or who may have, a developmental delay.

In consultation with the family, the physiotherapist sets goals for functional movement and develops strategies to achieve them. The overall goal of the program is to offer quality services using fun games and activities to help promote learning, development, and optimal function.

We are currently looking for a new physiotherapist to join our early intervention services team. The role will be responsible for delivery of physiotherapy services in accordance with family centered principles and professional standards. This includes assessment, establishment of treatment goals and objectives, report writing, intervention, re-evaluation, consultation, monitoring and the provision of education to family, other caregivers, teachers, etc.

Requirements

  • Degree in physiotherapy or equivalent qualification from a recognized school of physiotherapy
  • Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Membership and registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Pediatric training considered an asset
