Requirements

Valid Class IV Driver’s License required, current First Aid and CPR, current, TB test results, must have a current Criminal Record Check as per Association policy. Food Safe Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are also required.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Human Services Worker Certification, certification in a relevant field, or equivalent.  Three to six months prior job experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset. Must display an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental disability and mental illness. Must display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member. Basic computer skills required. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job. Must be able to swim on a regular basis.
