Temporary Full Time

Requirements

Class 4 Drivers license is required. Post-secondary diploma in Human Services, Social Services, or equivalent. Three-to-six-month prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities Current First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check, Food Safe Certification, and CPI training. Very physical position as all clients require personal care. Applicants be able to push / manoeuvre wheelchairs. Familiarity / ability to learn & follow health care plan & detailed care protocols as per training by community nurse. Medication administration & G Tube experience an asset.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Participates and assists individuals with their day-to-day life skills; including social, vocational, leisure, health, and fitness (including swimming). Administers medication and monitors health of individuals. Ensures safety of self and individuals when lifting, transferring and loading wheelchairs on and off the vans. Supports personal care requirements of individuals, as set out in care
