28.08 average hours per week
Night Shifts 11:00pm – 7:00am
Rotating 4 on 4 off

Requirements

Current First Aid and CPR, current (every 3 years) TB test results, must have a current Criminal Record Check as per Association policy, and a completed Physicians Approval of Health. Food Safe Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field. Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities. Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset. Must display a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging and aggressive behaviour. Must display an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental disability and mental illness. Must display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
