Nature of Position

38.83 hours per week
Sunday through Thursday
one week of 3:00-11:00pm
one week of 7:00am-3:00pm
one week Sun 3:00-9:30pm and Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 2:00-9:30pm

As per Collective Agreement – Grid Level 10

Requirements

Valid Class IV Driver’s License required, current First Aid and CPR, current (every 3 years) negative TB test results, must have a current Criminal Record Check as per society policy. Food Safe Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are also required. Must be willing to swim on a regular basis.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field. Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities. Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset. Must display a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging and aggressive behaviour. Must display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member. Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
