Temporary Part-Time: 22.5 hours per week.
Until return of incumbent.
Must be a graduate of a recognized Therapist Assistant Diploma program or have two (2) years or two thousand hours experience and practice working with children under the supervision of a certified Occupational or Physiotherapist. Strong computer skills are essential. Must have a current criminal record check, negative tuberculin test results, first aid and CPR, valid class 5 drivers’ license and access to reliable transportation.
The Therapy Assistant provides support to the Occupational and Physiotherapy teams including direct and indirect treatment activities and non-client specific activities as assigned and supervised by an Occupational and Physiotherapist in accordance with the guidelines established by the British Columbia College of Occupational Therapists and College of Physical Therapists of BC.
