Nature of Position

Temporary Full Time, 32.5 hours, Monday – Friday 830-1500.

Rate of Pay

As per Collective Agreement – Grid Level 10

Requirements

Class 4 Drivers license is a necessary requirement of this post. Current First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check as per society policy, Food Safe Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention also required. Access to a phone may be required, when out in the community.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field preferred. Three-to-six-month prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities. Must display a proven ability to work with individuals calmly and effectively with complex support needs and behaviors. Must display enthusiasm, energy, and a willingness to be flexible in adapting to a varied schedule.
