Support Worker - Early Childhood Educator / Assistant
Nature of position:
Temporary Part Time - January 4, 2023 - May 27, 2023
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:30pm-2:45pm
Tuesday and Fridays 9am-2:30pm, includes an unpaid half hour lunch
No Spring Break or Pro D days
Rate of pay:
As per Collective Agreement - Grid Level 6 - ECEA

Requirements:
Must be an Early Childhood Education Special Assistant and have ECE-A (Assistant) certification. Current Criminal Record Checks, physician approval, TB test results, First Aid and CPR required as per Association policy.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team. Strong oral communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to provide a calm, healthy, responsive relationship with the child and to establish and maintain supportive, collaborative relationships with families and childcare setting staff. Able to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain a positive, professional, non-judgmental attitude. Must be physically fit, willing, and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
