Relief Catering Staff / Second Cook

Nature of position:

Ironwood Place is a fifty-four-unit senior’s assisted living community. This program provides a range of hospitality services that promote independence, choice and dignity to the seniors who live there, to include two meals a day, recreational activities, and housekeeping services. Ironwood Place is in urgent need of help cover for Cook duties - preparing pre-ordered meals, twice daily for our 57 residents.

Requirements:

· Grade 10 education · Graduation from a program or institution or residential quantity cooking. · Food Safe Certificate Level 2 · Consent to a Criminal Record Check · Negative Tuberculin test · Current Emergency First Aid – Industry Certificate

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:

· Ability to work as a productive and interactive team member. · Ability to deal effectively and calmly in crisis situations. · Strong oral and written communication skills.
